The gold foil on the tuck box catches the light way more than I expected, and the cards themselves have a nice snap right out of the box. I've been reading the novel for years, so seeing the France and Italy settings worked into the suit designs honestly made me smile.
The illustrations on each court card actually reference scenes from Dumas' story, which I didn't expect from a deck like this. The tuck box has that gold foil detailing too, so it looks great sitting out on my shelf. Shuffles smoothly right out of the box.
The card backs have a nice matte finish that doesn't glare under overhead lights, which matters if you play a lot at night. I've been using them for poker nights for a few weeks and they still shuffle clean with no chipping on the edges.
