Discover what a Table Player deck is, how it fits into the KWP Table Players series, and why collectors and cardists choose these standard edition playing cards.
Quick Answer
A Table Player deck is a standard edition playing card from Kings Wild Project's ongoing Table Players series—designed for everyday card games, cardistry, and collecting without the premium price of limited releases.
How the Table Players Series Works
Kings Wild Project releases the Table Players series as a numbered collection of standard edition decks. Each volume (like Vol. 28 or Vol. 52) offers a fresh design while keeping the same consistent handling and finish. This makes the series reliable for both casual play and serious cardistry.
Who Should Buy a Table Player Deck?
The Table Player deck suits anyone who wants a good-looking, functional deck without hunting for rare or gilded editions. Cardists appreciate the predictable feel; collectors enjoy completing the numbered volumes. The trade-off is that these are standard editions—no foil, no limited-edition extras—so they won't satisfy someone seeking premium presentation.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What exactly is a Table Player deck?
- It's a standard edition playing card deck from Kings Wild Project's Table Players series. Each volume is numbered (e.g., Vol. 28, Vol. 52) and designed for practical use—card games, cardistry, and collecting—without premium finishes.
- How is it different from other KWP decks?
- Unlike limited or gilded editions, a Table Player deck uses standard card stock and print. This keeps the price lower and the handling consistent, which is ideal for cardists who need predictable performance.
- Can I use it for cardistry?
- Yes. The standard finish and paper weight are well-suited for fans, cuts, and aerials. Many cardists choose the Table Players series because the decks handle uniformly from volume to volume. If you're serious about cardistry, try one volume first to confirm the feel matches your style.
- Is it worth collecting?
- Yes—if you enjoy completing a numbered series. Each volume offers a distinct design, and the consistent quality makes the set cohesive on a shelf. However, they lack the rarity or premium materials of limited releases.
